The first known survey of this cemetery was done by Dr. Allan E. Marble on August 13, 1967. Per his usual custom, he did not give the cemetery a name but assigned it an identifying number, in this case 60, and a location, Roxbury. A notation in Dr. Marble's original handwritten survey notes says "Lost in the woods."

At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed Dr. Marble's survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb and, at that time, the volunteers named it "Roxbury Cemetery".

DIRECTIONS: The cemetery is located on the west side of Roxbury Road, 270 meters down a well-marked path into the woods. It is in the former logging community of Roxbury, abandoned since the early 1900s.
