Former churchyard extension belonging to St Thomas Eccleston, Peter Street, St Helens.
This Extension to St Thomas' Church was a large rectangular area with the original entrance at Windsor Road c.1890, which led to a small chapel and encompassed a large graveyard area. This area is still there but there is no longer a graveyard, it was cleared in c.1973. Memorial Inscriptions were recorded from almost all of the grave plots, where possible, and are still available but only a few actual gravestones remain at this site. They are not in their original positions and photographs have been taken of all those that are there and uploaded to the Cemetery on Find A Grave.
