One of the city cemeteries of Tomsk.

It was opened on January 2, 1974 in order to replace the closed Northern Cemetery and was the main city cemetery of Tomsk until 2006.
The name of the cemetery is associated with the close proximity to the village of Baktin, the name of which, in turn, comes from the abbreviation of the name "Bacteriological Institute".

Since January 2007, it has been considered closed, but relatives subburials are being made.
