Ross Family Cemetery
Bowling Green Township, Pettis County, Missouri, USA
On 10 Aug 1869, Minerva (Potter) Ross, and the heirs of Robert Ross Deceased, sold the farm to Minerva's brother, Thomas Potter. As part of the description of property conveying, she stated, "... The NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 12, Township 46N, Range 20, except the 9 fee t square family graveyard..." (Pettis County Deed Book T, pp 400-401) Recently, the current landowner told a story about when his parents purchased the property in the 1940s and at that time they were told a graveyard existed on the farm; subsequently, he took me to the graveyard's location in Jan 2024.
