Nelson Cemetery is located on a hill above Shoal Creek in Lawrenceburg, TN on property that was originally owned by John Nelson. The first person to be buried there in 1825 was John Mosley Montgomery, father of Talitha Jane Montgomery Nelson. The cemetery will be 200 years old in 2025 and continues to be maintained and supported by the family and friends of Nelson Cemetery.
