Accessibility (from the Churches Conservation Trust site): "St Mary's church is through a reclamation yard, through a farm gate and across a ploughed field with no path. Access is by foot only. This walk is long and very challenging on uneven ground often with fallen leaves and mud. This is approx. 5km. There is a large step down into the church."

The interior of the church is viewable by appointment only.

St Mary' stands in complete isolation 250 yard across a field from the A41 road. It stands elevated above its surrounding enclosed by a roughly circular churchyard indicating a Saxon or even earlier site. The small church comprises a Nave, Chancel and Porch and a font which is possibly over 750 years old. Although the core of the church is Norman its windows and doorways date mostly from the 14c. The church in is the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
