Texas Historical Commission (THC) lists the cemetery as TV-C145. It was originally listed as the Enochs cemetery. That is another nearby cemetery, also known as Steiner Ranch Cemetery. THC now calls the cemetery Hancock Family at Steiner Ranch. THC recognizes four burials here, all appear to be the children of George F. Hancock and Eliza Harriett "Hattie" (Enoch) Hancock. George and Eliza are buried in Austin Memorial Park cemetery. THC states there are "Four graves facing east surrounded by a metal fence 2.5 x 7m and 1m high. The fence is marked 'Texas Anchor Fence Co.' There is an interior fence which separates the three graves to the south from the fourth northern most grave. All four graves have identical head and foot stones." THC further says "The 1900 census records list George F Hancock, a white male age 30, born Sept 1869, in Texas. He had been married for 6 years to Hattie E Hancock. George Hancock was listed as a farmer who owned his own free of a mortgage ... He is shown as owning 6 horses, 15 cattle, 20 hogs, 1 wagon & implements valued at $10.00". The census listed Hattie E Hancock, born August 1873, age 26. She was the mother of 4 living children. Her father was born in Tennessee, her mother in Alabama. The children of George and Hattie Hancock in the 1900 census were Hubert age 5; Clide (sic) age 4; Rubie (sic) age 2; and Howard age 8mths."
