Community burial ground at the corner of the James F. Jackson plat purchased in 1894 adjacent to the property of Samuel Ashby. Also known historically as the Fort Ward Cemetery per death certificates. Burial activity began no later than 1913, and may have started earlier. Burials were not limited to members of the Jackson family. 20 total graves were identified by archaeological investigation between 2009-2012. There are oral reports of others being exhumed from the fort area when restoration of Fort Ward began in the 1960s. There are no headstones in this fenced in cemetery, only a memorial monument installed in 2025.
