Established in 1939, the Cemetery is located between S. Live Oak St. and S. Aransas St in the 700 and 800 blocks. The Park entrance is on S. Live Oak, and the road is a semicircular drive beginning after lot 21 and curving back at approximately lot 54. There is a remnant of fence at approximately lot 45 and the chronological dates change which would indicate that additional property was annexed about 1945.

Since the Park is presently filled to capicity, it is assumed there are a number of unmarked graves and unreadable tombstones are identified. Another site has been dedicated as Descanso Eterno Cemetery #2 on Montana St east of Hwy 359.
