Noble Pioneer Cemetery is one of several rural cemeteries that can be found in and around the general vicinity of the Chehalem Valley. It occupies a small parcel of land along Kings Grade Road, a county road that runs north from North Valley Road and climbs the southwest flank of Chehalem Mountain. The cemetery sits on a knoll that overlooks the beautiful Chehalem Valley and is covered with stately Douglas firs, white oaks, and other trees and shrubs planted among the gravestones. The earliest known gravesite predates the Civil War years, and this rural cemetery still remains an integral part of the rural Chehalem Valley community life.
