In 1811, two acres of land were deeded to the Presbyterians for a meeting house and burying ground. This property was given by Mathew Richardson, early settler and land owner. It was located on State Route 73, the current site of the Collinsville Cemetery. Richardson also sold a parcel to Charles Collins, an English wagonmaker, and the town was named after him. The original church building was located in the NW corner of the cemetery.


The cemetery is located on the north side of Trenton Oxford Road (Ohio State Route 73) at its intersection with Huston Road.
