History of Cemetary:

Landscape Architect Ralph W. Acton was a pioneer in ornamental evergreens. He landscaped Maple Grove Cemetary when it was known as Trails End Burial Park. A graduate of Lancaster High School, Class of 1910, he began his first nursery, known as Rosebank Nursery, in 1922 on Amanda Road. Moving to BIS Road in 1935, it was changed to Acton's Nursery and then moved again in 1961 to Coonpath Road.


The cemetery is located in Pleasant Township, Fairfield County, Ohio, and is # 3235 (Maple Grove Cemetery) in "Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003", compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.


The cemetery is registered with the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing (ODRE) as Maple Grove Cemetery with registration license number CGR.2003010878.
