This active cemetery is 2.3 acres in size and is at the northwest corner of State Route 741 and State Route 63. The cemetery is operated by the Otterbein Lebanon Retirement Community, successor to the property holdings of the Union Village Shaker Community. The cemetery is located in the general vicinity of one of the original Shaker burial grounds, which had its first known burial before 1807. Because of the Shaker general practice of not marking individual graves, the markers present in the cemetery today are associated with deaths occurring in 1916 and thereafter.

The cemetery is located in Turtlecreek Township, Warren County, Ohio, and is # 12310 in "Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003", compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) feature ID for the cemetery is 1044223 (Otterbein-Shaker Cemetery).
