This cemetery was founded in 1880 by the Delaware Cemetery Association. It originated when a meeting was held in the residence of Philip Fulmer resulting in a committee of 5 individuals being formed in order to purchase a plot of land subsequently developing it into a cemetery. The volunteer association has no office grounds however it is managed by a Board of Managers who are elected at annual meetings by plot owners. All finances earned are used for continuing the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery, paying the contractors who provide operational services and grounds upkeep and put into the Permanent Care Lot Fund. For more information, brochures are located at the town hall.
