This is a view, from the gate, of the Cornplanter portion of this cemetery complex. The large obelisk, in the center background, is the grave of Chief Cornplanter. This grave was removed, from the river valley, seen in the distant background, and which is now covered by the Kinzua Resivoir and re-interred here to this Cemetery. Between this gate and the Cornplanter obelisk, are many flat granite markers of the other persons who were dis-interred and then re-interred here to this place. Many of them, indeed most of them, are unknown. The Riverview portion is to the left of this photo and the Corydon Cemetery portion is to the rear of this photo.
