This is a view of where the Landes Cemetery is located on the Croushorn Farm property. The farm houses and barns are behind me.

If you click on the picture you may be able to see the metal rods sticking up in the ground. They are located where the four corners of the cemetery is located.

Yes, it's a cow pasture and cows graze in the cemetery where our ancestors are buried.

Me and my Landes cousins are going to check into getting a fence erected around it.

When I took this picture in May, 2007 I was standing in the cemetery looking towards the Croushorn Farm.

And, yes that black speck in front of me is a curious cow. These cows are huge...even the young ones and they think you have food for them. I had to shoo this one away many times that day. If you look along the treeline in the middle of the picture you can see a small herd of them.

The photo is taken from Stonewall Road. You might be able to see the metal/steel rods more clearly in this photo.

As you can see there are no trees around and the gravestones are not standing up...the stones are laying on the ground with the inscriptions facing up..at least the ones we have been able to unearth.

The last time Kim and I went we took my husband and a friend of hers. My husband and I held huge umbrellas to keep the sun off the diggers (Kim & her friend.)
