New Zion Cemetery is located in the rural Harrison County community of Nesbitt.

There are approximately 150 marked graves, about half funeral home temporary markers. There are a great many unmarked graves in evidence.

This cemetery is identified online as New Zion Cemetery, aka Overstree or Zion Hill. There is no fence, no gate, and no identifiable sign at the cemetery. There is, however, a generic cemetery sign erected by the state highway department on Texas Highway 154.

Investigation of temporary burial markers confirms this is an African-American burial ground.

New Zion Cemetery is located on the NW corner of Haynes Rd. at the intersection of Walnut Hill Ln.
