Keeten Cemetery
Also known as Deer Run Cemetery, Keaton Cemetery, Myers Cemetery
Blue Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia, USA
The Keaton/Keeten Cemetery contains graves of Blue Creek pioneers. The middle of the cemetery is the oldest and graves are marked with rocks. The Keetens and the Myerses intermarried and farmed this area. To find the cemetery, take Appaloosa Drive off New Hope Road. Appaloosa is a narrow one-lane road. Drive to the cemetery gate and park there. Walk up hill to the cemeteries. The Myers Cemetery is beside the Keeten, and both have fences. The Keeten Cemetery is not always mowed.
