Founders Cemetery
Tylertown, Walthall County, Mississippi, USA
The Magee, the Rushings, the Conerly's, the Balls, and others, were buried there. Father Tyler and his wife who placed there in 1862, have rested there for many a year.
Formerly, there was a hedge of Gardenias surrounding the cemetery, but the white gnat killed it years ago.
The Cemetery is not in use but for some of us it holds precious memories of love ones who stayed awhile and then passed into the Day Eternal." When My World Was Young, by Rev Fred L Applewhite.
The Daughters of the American Revolution and Walthall County Historical Society has added, restored grave markers and landscaped the Founders' Cemetery.
