In the late 1890's the remains of those buried in the Old Village Cemetery were exhumed and re-interred at Oak Hill. That land is now known as Myers Park and is a community gathering space.
Many veterans of US conflicts from the Revolutionary War to Vietnam interred here. There is an old veteran's section but most are scattered throughout the cemetery.
A mausoleum built by the Empire Mausoleum Company of Binghamton, NY, as well as smaller family mausoleums can be found. Also, many types of tombstones and sculptures can be seen in this cemetery, from the very old to current day.
Oak Hill Cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places.
