The cemetery is located in rural North Harmony Township at the intersection of County Touring Rte. 35 (Open Meadows Rd.) and Cheney Rd. The nearest Villages are Ashville, Panama and Chautauqua.

Historically the cemetery property is a small NE corner part of the land originally obtained from the Holland Land Company in 1828/1829 by Jonas Casselman, an early settler of this area. At that time the Holland Land Company had obtained title to large parts of Western New York State from the Indian Nations.
