Roselawn Cemetery
Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, USA
In 1912, the City of Lakeland purchased 11 acres of land on N. Ingraham Avenue for a new city cemetery. Noted surveyor Samuel A. Robinson, of Orlando, designed the layout of the cemetery. In 1924, the Scott Morris Mausoleum company began building a community mausoleum at the southern end of the cemetery. In 1941, the city purchased three acres of land adjacent to Roselawn to expand the number of available burial plots. Plots at Roselawn are sold out, though burials do occasionally take place.
