Highland Park Cemetery
Mayfield, Graves County, Kentucky, USA
Highland Park Cemetery was established in March 1919 from pasture land and lots went on sale March 9th of that year ahead of its development. It was designed by landscape architect Theodore J. Moreau of Chicago, Illinois. In 1941 the city of Mayfield purchased this cemetery from Ed Gardner, Bob Ross, Williams Usher, and "the late" J. F. Wilson. Maplewood, the then current city cemetery for white people, had around 900 lots remaining for sale so the city council saw a need to purchase more property for burials.
