The cemetery is off Route 3 (aka Daniel Boone Parkway) in Boone County, WV. Turn right immediately before the "Welcome to Drawdy" sign. Go across the bridge and railroad tracks and then turn left.
The earliest grave at the cemetery is that of Philip O. Harless (1760-1849), a Revolutionary War veteran whose grave is in the original section of the cemetery up on the hill and is marked with two grave markers. Several older graves (with burials in the 1870s to the 1890s) are in that area as well.
The level part of the cemetery contains the graves of members of several Boone County families and others.
In addition to the Revolutionary War, veterans from the Civil War, World Wars I and II, the Korean War and Vietnam are buried here. At least four of those soldiers were killed in action.
