Enon Cemetery was established August 24, 1895 when S. B. and Ipha J. Perry deeded B. F. Morris, B. D. Perry and William Beckett, trustees of Enon Church, six acres for $1, with the stipulation, "... shall be used absolutely for church or burying purposes and shall not sell or trade said land under any circumstances." In 1899, Wm. and Mary McKendree deeded the trustees of Enon Church a right of way to cemetery. In 1912 the cemetery was enlarged when Wm., Talmage, Mary and Rocksie McKendree deeded Enon trustees, five acres for $100, land beside old cemetery and a road, with the stipulation, "... cannot be sold, transferred or assigned for any other purpose." The cemetery was enlarged again in 1949 when an additional 16 acres were purchased (of which one acre was the old Leith Schoolhouse lot).

The first burial in the cemetery was Jerry Gothard who died Oct. 30, 1895. A couple other graves in the cemetery predate 1895, but those graves were moved from a family cemetery to Enon Cemetery in 1896, namely Sarah Jane Perry who died 1881 and Blackburn Ray who died 1892.
