Fairview Cemetery
Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland, USA
A large number of re-interments nearly filled the east end of the lot, at least one dating as early as 1823. The bodies of USCT (United States Colored Troops) soldiers William Gaither and Edward Kingsley, both veterans of the American Civil War, were re-interred in the Fairview Cemetery, identified by their War Department-issue tablet stones. The Fairview Cemetery also contains the graves of a remarkable number of World War I and II soldiers.
Greenmount Cemetery was relocated here during the 1920's.
Fairview Cemetery is still an active cemetery.
