Oak Ridge is the resting place of many of the Faribault area's earliest settlers. It's a beautiful 10 acre tree-filled property donated by Levi Nutting after losing his young wife in 1856 and not having a suitable place to bury her. The cemetery is still being operated by relatives and friends of Levi Nutting.

The cemetery had a vault built into a hill in the early days to hold bodies through the winter prior to burial. It is still in use today to hold equipment.

The cemetery has a full list of names and maps posted to help visitors find loved ones.
