Located in Apple River Township. This cemetery was, at one time, part of Jo Daviess County, Illinois. It was the Apple River city cemetery and is located north of the city in Highland Township of Wisconsin. It is very well kept, and was started October 18, 1855 by trustees Richard Levitt, William Levitt, and Francis Redfearn.

To get to West Ella, take Stagecoach Trail to Apple River, then north on 2nd North Street, cross the railroad tracks and continue north on Prospect .4 of a mile - turns into County "P" - continue 1/2 mile to County W, right .2 of a mile.
