Jordan Cemetery, located at 2950 Fuller Road, was established by James C. Jordan and originally served as a burial ground for his family and for travelers heading westward. Management of the cemetery was later transferred to an association, and in 1920, the City of Valley Junction (now West Des Moines) began assisting with its upkeep. Interments are still taking place as of late 2025, maintaining its role as an active historic cemetery.
