Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone, not to be confused with Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hightstown, N.J., 20 miles south of East Millstone, was established in 1859. The Village of East Millstone, located in Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey, was settled circa 1730 and is registered as a National and State Historic District. It sits along the Delaware and Raritan Canal, west of New Brunswick and south of Somerville.

Cedar Hill Cemetery is a long and narrow property, probably about 10 or 20 acres, with 3 entrances all on the same side of Wortman Street. The roads inside the cemetery are made of gravel, grass, and dirt. They are not paved. There are many tall trees and large bushes with a variety of wild flowers and patches of English Ivy throughout, but there are many open spaces that let the sun shine through. There is no Office or Employee Assistance located on the property.
