Andrew T. Nuxoll, a native of Greencreek, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Cottonwood Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, from complications of diabetes. He was 75.
He was born to Henry F. Nuxoll and Cathryn Beckman Nuxoll Feb. 5, 1929, in Greencreek and spent most of his life on the family farm. He was a graduate of Greencreek High School.
Andy served in the Army during the Korean War and then came home to work for Martin and Dick Nuxoll. He then acquired the family farm where he worked the rest of his life. He never married.
Andy was a communicant of the Catholic church and was a member of the St. Anthony's Society and the Knights of Columbus.
Andy is survived by two brothers, Eugene and Ted Nuxoll of Grangeville; and three sisters, Evelyn Sarbacher and Winifred Johnston, both of Grangeville, and Louise (Dolly) Mager of Denver, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Victoria Sonnen and Esther Westhoff; and a brother, Clarence Nuxoll.
Andy was a farmer at heart and was the happiest when he was building something in his shop. He enjoyed fishing and long car rides and could fix anything. He was a brilliant, self-taught man and had a great sense of humor.
There will be a rosary for Andy at 7 p.m. today and the funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, both at St. Anthony's Church in Greencreek.
