The deceased was born on July 11, 1840, at Ballyninch, County Down, Ireland, and when a young man came to Canada, settling here, where he carried on an extensive tailoring business. He retired some years ago.
He was a veteran of the Fenian Raid of 1866. His wife predeceased him 30 years ago and surviving to mourn his loss are three sons and two daughters, namely; Dr. A.E. Haynen, Ogdensburg, N.Y.; Dr. A.H. Haynen, Glen Falls N.Y.; George A. Haynen, Vancouver, B.C.; Mrs. (Dr.) J.W. Musgrove, Brockville; Mrs. J. Spencer Corbin, of Gouverneur, N.Y.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the residence of grandson, M.W. Musgrove, where the service was conducted by Rev. Thomas Scott, pastor, St. Paul's United Church gere. Interment was made in the family plot in Sandy Hill Cemetery.
