HENDERSONVILLE — Donald Odell Cody, 77, of Hendersonville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at his home. A native of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Monroe T. and Selma G. Cody.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Sam Norville; a sister, Gladys Amerson, and two brothers, Monroe "Bill" Cody and Roy J. Cody.

He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He retired from Hendersonville Tire, and was a bus driver for Henderson County Schools and the Boys & Girls Club in Hendersonville. He was an exceptional husband and a special loving father.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Cody; three sons, Johnny Ray Norville, Tommy Kerr and Jimmy D. Norville; two daughters, Karen J. Cody and Linda Ann Marinkovic; two sisters, Annie Case and Polly Cody; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The Rev. Tony Hall will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park following the service. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m., Saturday at the church
