DAVENPORT - Memorial services for Lizzie Mae Johnson, Davenport, will be noon Friday in the All Faith Chapel of Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation is one hour before the service. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Lizzie died Monday, June 25, 2001, at her home. Born Oct. 29, 1939, in Hughes, Ark., she was the daughter of Jeff and Joanna (Pitts) Johnson. She was a member of Progressive Baptist Church, Davenport. She worked domestic child care for the Heninger family for many years until she retired. Lizzie devoted her life to her family and many friends. She especially enjoyed fishing, sports and gardening. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Survivors include her daughter, Vera Ann Howard, Davenport; her son and daughter-in-law, Willie L. and Judy Johnson, Davenport; grandchildren, James Wilmington Jr., Julius Wilmington, Gary Martel, Maria Johnson and Jamie Johnson; a great-grandson, Gary Martel Jr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Roy L. Harrison, Chicago; a brother and sister-in-law, Royal and Pearlie Mae Johnson, Hughes, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. May they rest in peace.
