Ruby Lee "Shorty" Armstrong was born October 1, 1926 in Jack County, Texas. She was the daughter of Martin Luther and Ida Burt Whitsitt. Shorty and the late Roy Guy "R.G." Armstrong were married in Jack County April 27,1946. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church. Shorty passed away Friday, March 29,2013 in Jacksboro, Texas. She was 86 years old.
She is survived today by her sons, Larry Armstrong and his wife Cherry; Roy Guy Armstrong Jr. and his wife Marla; and Jimmy Ray "Bobo" Armstrong and his wife Peggy; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren as well many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral will held 2pm Monday, April 1,2013 at Christian Missions with burial following in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
