ELLA IONE (TAYLOR) LETT

Ella Ione (Taylor) Let, 73, of Battle Creek died Friday, Oct. 3, 1997, at her home after a short illness.

She was born Oct. 31, 1923, in Grand Ledge, the daughter of the late Forest and Nellie (Randal) Taylor. She graduated from Midland High School and moved to Battle Creek in 1951 from Olivet. She was a technician with Defense Logistics Services Center in Battle Creek from 1972 until her retirement in 1989. She had also worked for Weller Realty, Lakeview Realty and Post Cereals in Battle Creek.

She was an avid collector. She enjoyed cooking, craft shows, shopping and was devoted to her children and grandchildren.

Ella is survived by two sons, William W. Lett Jr. of Eaton, Ind., and Gary L. Lett of Middlebury, Ind.; two daughters, Judith L. Lett of Battle Creek and Deborah K. Kimber of Battle Creek; one brother, Leonard Taylor of Midland; one sister, Joyce Ladner of Midland; six grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Helen Farlow and Beatrice Badour.

Friends may call at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, 703 Capital Ave., SW, Battle Creek today from 9 a.m. to ? p.m.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, 11 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Battle Creek. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, Battle Creek.
