TWO COLES CO. RESIDENTS DIE OF PARALYSIS Isaac C. Allison and Isaac C. Mapes of Near Oakland Succumb FUNERAL WEDNESDAY OAKLAND, Jan. 2-Isaac C. Allison, 83, died in his home here Tuesday morning after a nine years' affliction of paralysis. He had been a lifelong resident in this community.
Mr. Allison was born Oct. 31, 1846. On April 8, 1869, he was married to Miss Sarah Allison. Fourteen children were born to the union, seven of whom are left, namely, Willian H. Allison, Peoria; Charles H.
Allison, of Chicago; David W., Oakland; Jacob B., West Point, Ind.; Walter H., Peoria; Mrs. Mae Artman, Peoria; Mrs. Effie McConaha, Questa, N. Mex. Twenty nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren are also left.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the home by Rev. J. L. Goleman. Burial was made in Wesley Chapel cemetery.
Mapes Rites Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning for Isaac C. Mapes, 79, in his home east of this city. Mr. Mapes suffered a stroke of paralysis several weeks ago and had been in failing health since. He was born near Marley; April 12, 1850. He was married to Miss Henrietta Gaumer in Paris Jan. 20, 1876. Mr. Mapes leaves his widow, one son, Melvin Mapes of Paris and two daughter, Miss Rose and Miss Myrtle at home; also two grandsons; one brother, W. T. Mapes of Owasso. Ok.; one sister, Mrs. G. B. Jones of Sidell.
Rev. W. Jones of Redmon officiated at the services. Burial was in Rosedale cemetery in Oakland.
