Jenine May Stickler, 55, of Remus, Michigan, died on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the University of Michigan Hospital due to injuries sustained in a fall while she was riding her horse.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Clark Family Funeral Chapel from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Service celebrating Jenine's life will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Pastors Richard Eldred and Michael Simon officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Commission on Aging.

Jenine was born October 5, 1952, in Clare, Michigan, the daughter of William Freeman Cornell and Verna M. (Cummings) Cornell. Jenine graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 1970. She received her B.S. Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. Jenine married Jack A. Stickler on November 29, 1974. She worked as a postal clerk in Remus and Blanchard, and for the past 20 years worked as a Social Worker for the Commission on Aging in Mt. Pleasant. Jenine served on the Advising Committee for Central Michigan Home Care, and on the board of directors at MOARC. She was a hospice volunteer in Isabella County. Jenine was a Youth Leader at the New Hope United Methodist Church in Mecosta, and an active member of the New Beginnings Christian Family Fellowship in Six Lakes. She loved teaching, coaching, and mentoring the youth of the communities of which she was a part.

Jenine lived each moment fully, cherishing the grace of Christ, the quiet of the woods and water, the company of good people, and the innocence of children and animals. She was fun. Jenines unmistakable and contagious laugh was proof of her vibrant spirit. In life, music was essential to herwe know that she is now a part of the most beautiful music imaginable.

Jenine is survived by her husband, Jack; her children, Jessica May (Scott) Gordon of Mt. Pleasant, Rachel Leigh (Brian) Bucholtz of Lakeview, and Guy Anthony Stickler of Remus;
granddaughter, Anya Berlin Gordon; her parents, Bill and Verna Cornell of Barryton; brothers, Jerry (Rhonda) Cornell of Clio, Dennis (Jane) Cornell of Barryton; sisters, Susanne (David) Cornell-Smith of Davison, and Tina (William) Henry of Grays Lake, Ill.
