Col. Rolland ASH, a native of Dowagiac (MI) and, died May 17 (1977) at Offutt Air Base following a short illness. He had been serving there as assistant Director of Personnel. A graduate of Western Michigan University, Col. ASH was the brother of Mrs. Charles WARFIELD and Mrs. Allen SEABOLT, both of Kalamazoo, MI. Col. ASH entered the Air Force in 1952 and served as a pilot in fighter bombers and tanker planes in the Strategic Air Command(SAC). Col. Ash was a former commander of Kincheloe Air Force Base in Michigan, and also served in Japan, Okinawa and at bases in Virginia, California and Nebraska with SAC. He is survived by his wife, Julia, and three sons, Robert, Bryan and Kurt, all of Omaha; his mother, Mrs. Gladys ASH and his grandfather, Crawford STEWART, both of Dowagiac.
