Gregory John "Butch" Reynolds was born on August 14, 1940 in St. Peter, MN to Floyd Cyril and Bernyce Catherine (Bezdichek) Reynolds. He passed away on April 1, 2014 at Harris Methodist HEB Hospital in Bedford, TX.

Greg was raised in Le Center, MN but later moved to Minneapolis where he graduated from Edison High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Airman-2nd Class. He spent most of his service at the Air Force Base in Blytheville, AK, as a member of the ground crew that serviced the "Stratofortress" B52 bombers. He was very proud of his military service. His name is engraved on the Smithsonian's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center Wall of Honor in Virginia.

He married Shirley Irene Vollmer on February 10, 1962 in Le Center, MN. After being discharged from the service the couple moved to Shakopee, MN where they raised their their five children. He worked as a computer specialist at Midwest Federal and later at ACA Data. He was a former member of the Shakopee Jaycee's and the American Legion.

Eventually the couple moved to Fort Worth where he worked as an IT Specialist at Catholic Charities. The staff affectionately called him "St. Gregory" for solving all their computer problems.

While living in Texas he took up the hobbies of model trains and of flying radio controlled model airplanes. He was an active member in the local RC model airplane club. He was a great lover of history which he passed on to his children.

Greg is survived by four of his children: Sons Dennis (Jackie) of Naples FL; Christopher of Centerville, MN; daughters Debbie (Mike) Seiberlich of St. Paul, MN; Jenny Reynolds of Springbrook, WI. He is also survived by daughter-in-law Karen Reynolds of Ormand Beach, FL; sister, Carol "Skeeter" Reynolds of Richland Hills, TX; sisters-in-law, Donna (Donald)Vlasak and Patricia (James) Fillipek both of Montgomery, MN.

Greg is also survived by nine grandchildren: Daniel Seiberlich, Erin (Jay) Singerman, Samantha (Jesse) Watson, Shawn Rosaasen, James (Candi) Weber, Sr, Anthony Weber, Amanda Storms, Alexander Reynolds and Wyatt Reynolds, and six great-grandchildren Elle Singerman, Haley Knutson-Weber, James Weber, Jr., Olivia Henneman-Austin, Zachary Storms and Callista Storms-Johnson, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews and very dear friends Larey and Maggie Vandervoort and their daughter, Lexi.

Greg was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Shirley, in 2008, his son David in 2006, his parents and one sister, Vickie.

He will be interred with full military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation at McNearney Funeral Home in Shakopee on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 5-7 p.m.
