His mother lost his father in 1945 and she remarried Mr. John Hoten(Hoitenovich).
He married Helen M.Hoten. Thomas went to serve in WWII and Helen had a step daughter Nikki(father was Chuck Barry during the time he served). When he returned from war Thomas and Helen had their daughter Diane Littlefield(Lawwill) was born August 1953. Step daughter Nikki left home as a teen for work in the circus and it is not known her whereabouts. With Thomas death and Helen mother's remarriage to John Hoten daughter Helen had a renaming of Hoten(aka Hoitenavich) in her high school yearbook as noted. Thomas' daughter Helen gave him the gift of two grandsons and two great grandchildren.
His mother continued living in Michigan and was buried in Michigan even though her family plot in Kaukauna, WI. was where she was to be placed upon her passing. She lived in Lansing, MI. with her second marriage to John Hoten.
His maternal grandparents Staniske and great grandparents families Hiller, Keil roots were from Prussia. His mother's parents had a fruit and vegetable market/stand acreage down by the river in Kaukauna, WI. when (Martha)she was raised with his seven uncles and aunts that were in order- Uncle Oscar, Uncle Albert, Uncle Paul, Uncle Charles, (Mom), Aunt Amanda(Uncle Stan Lowry), Aunt Adah(Uncle Gilman Bitter), Aunt Clara(Parker). His cousins were Clarence, Herbert,and Ruth Staniske, Marie Staniske, Stanley Lowry, Robert Lowry, Lois Gilman.
It was known that his paternal grandfather was born in Maine and paternal Grandmother were both born in New York in 1848-
His paternal Uncles and Aunts born in the East in order of -Hulda in 1862, (Father Charles 1865), Uncle Asa A. Littlefield 1866, and William Littlefield 1870.
They all had moved to Michigan from the East in their young years for work in the steel/machine industry as his father had worked in machinery in Lansing as well.
