David was a good and honest person who will not be forgotten. He had two wonderful, loving parents and he was their only child.
David Harmon was killed on February 28, 1982 as he slept. His wife at the time, Melinda Harmon, conspired with Mark Mangelsdorf to kill David. Then the two of them went on with their lives as if nothing happened. Melinda remarried and her current name is Melinda Raisch. She served about 9 years in jail for this crime. In 2015, she was released from prison to carry on with her life. It's a shame, David didn't have that chance.
Mark Manglesdorf had finally pleaded guilty (after repeatedly saying that he was innocent) and was convicted in May 2006 and to be released in 2016 after a ten year sentence. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/may/3/kill-in-long-unsolved-kansas-killing-to-be-freed/
After 25 years since David's brutal murder, his killers were put in jail. Not to stay there for long.
