Carolyn Elizabeth Garrett Smith , 60, of Hot Springs died Monday, May 15, 2006, in a local hospital.
Born Oct. 1, 1945, at Little Rock to Chester and Della Garrett, she was a former employee of The Sentinel-Record and member of Unity Full Gospel Church.
She was predeceased by one brother, Richard Garrett; and two sisters, Juanita Clark and Jerri Burris.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Smith of Hot Springs; three daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and David Ritter, Debbie and Mike Cooley and Diedre and Tony Lee, all of Hot Springs; four grandchildren, Caleb Cooley, Jonathan Ritter, Spencer Lee and Erin Lee; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Janet Garrett, Edward and Dorean Garrett and Tommy and Mary Garrett, all of Little Rock; nieces; and nephews.
The service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Unity Full Gospel Church with Rev. Robert Howell officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Sheila Sullivan, Anna Hall, Dr. Janet Parchman and staff, The Sentinel-Record staff and her church family.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Gross Funeral Home. Guest register is at http://www.grossfuneralhome.com.
