On December 5, 1939, she was married to Russell Hansen at the Germantown Presbyterian parsonage. They lived near Beaver Creek, MN and Davis, SD. before moving to a farm near Parker where they lived forty years. In 1980, they retired and moved into Parker, SD.
Five children were born to this union: Ronald, who died in infancy; Mrs. Sammy (June) Begeman, Houston, TX; Mrs. Joe (Delores) Glaze, Pratt, KS; Dale, Harrisburg, SD; and Mrs. David (Donna) Pascoe, Sioux Falls, SD.
Clara was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years, she was a member of Presbyterian Women in the congregation and served as deacon of the church.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one son Ronald Virgil.
She is survived by her husband, Russell, three daughters, one son and a daughter-in-law, Coleen, three sons-in-law, thirteen grandchildren, one brother, Daniel VanHove, Sioux Falls, and one sister, May Van Hull, Lennox, SD.
