Daniel served in Company H 6th Wisconsin Infantry during the Civil War

Apr. 22, 1861 is his enlistment date.
Jul. 14, 1865 is his discharge date.

He also served in Co. C 2nd WI Inf. While with that unit he was
captured at Wilderness, VA 05 May 1864. He was sent to Andersonville
Prison.
