Country Singer. Real name Eric Edwards. He arrived to Canada from Wiltshire, England with his parents. His first job as singer was on radio station CKCK in Regina in 1937. Then he became known as Canada's Yodeling Cowboy. He created the Alberta Slim's Circus. He wrote and recorded over one hundred songs, many with RCA Victor, and toured Canada and the United States. Among his best known compositions are "Hanging of Louis Riel", "The Red River Two Step", "Queen of the Calgary Stampede", and "She Taught Me How to Yodel".
