Joseph Ronald Bell, age 77 of Royse City, TX, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015. He was born June 25, 1938, in New London, TX, to Thomas Jefferson Brooklyn Bell and Ottie Lee (Cook) Bell. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and then returned to Royse City where he farmed his own land. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife: Marilyn (Head) Bell of Royse City, TX; son: Kevin Bell and wife Sonya of Gilmer, TX; siblings: Lilly Joe Hopper and husband Norman of Andrews, TX, Ruth Fountain and husband Frank of Wills Point, TX, Genell Buchanan and husband Harold of Lubbock, TX, and John Bell and wife Debbie of Kilgore, TX; grandchildren: Dustan Bell and wife Baylee of Gilmer, TX, and Miranda Bell of Harleton, TX; great-grandchildren: Jayden, Whitney and Brantley. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Junior Bell, Oneda Bell, Forest Brooks Bell, James Clifford Bell, Lera Mae Curlee, Barron Byrd Bell, and Cloma Nellie Sharp.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Monday, October 19, 2015, at Old South Church Cemetery in Nevada, TX, with Brother Benny Chaffin officiating. The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00pm.
