Ovada Wallace Jones, 98, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at her residence near Teague. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2016, in Wortham Cemetery. Bro. Dale Mitchell will officiate.

Ovada was a dedicated homemaker and loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed gardening and canning her own fruits and vegetables. Ovada was a longtime member of the Teague Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jones.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Boyd and husband, Robert, of Wortham; grandchildren: Rachell Boyd Pope and husband, Shawn, Amanda Harris, and Jason Carr; great-grandchildren: Mallory Switzer, Chelsea Williams and husband, Kevin, Cole Ferrell, Cannon Pope, Luke Carr, and Ava Carr; great-great-grandchildren, Casen Hunt and Masen Hunt; brother, Bobby Wallace, of Teague; other relatives and many friends. Graveside services for Ovada Jones were held on Friday, January 8, 2016, at 2:00p.m. at Wortham Cemetery in Wortham, TX. Bro. Dale Mitchell officiated.

Mrs. Jones passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at her residence near Teague.

Mrs. Jones was a dedicated homemaker and loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed growing a garden and canning her own fruits and vegetables. Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of the Teague Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Boyd & husband Robert of Wortham; three grandchildren, Rachell Boyd Pope & husband Shawn, Amanda Harris, and Jason Carr; six great-grandchildren, Mallory Switzer, Chelsea Williams & husband Kevin, Cole Ferrell, Cannon Pope, Luke Carr, and Ava Carr; two great-great-grandchildren, Casen Hunt and Masen Hunt; two brothers, Bobby Wallace of Teague and James Wallace of Pueblo, CO; four sisters, Sandra Newby of San Saba, Faye Rotondo of Arlington, Margaret Hall of Arkansas, and Wanda Tuscana of Bandera; other relatives and friends.
