She was the daughter of the late Guy and Mary Nerone Corsetti.
She was an avid reader and was the family historian. If you wanted to know family history just ask Betty. She loved life, people, and a good party. Those were only exceeded by her love of faith, her very large family and her community.
For many years she commuted to Glens Falls where she worked for Prudential Insurance Company. When she retired from there, she worked for The Schuylerville Insurance Agency and later Wise Insurance Agency.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and also going on trips. She was a member of the Ecumenical Bible Study Group, Notre Dame-Visitation Prayer Shawl Ministry and a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville.
She supported many charitable organizations and helped many community friends. She assisted her sister, who ran Stewart’s store and her brother with his liquor store and caring for her mother for many years at home.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Laura Sciurba and Teresa Corsetti, and brothers, Anthony, Alfred, Joseph, Guy, and Richard Corsetti.
Survivors are her brother of Newburgh; and many nieces and nephews and their spouses, grand nieces, grand nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville with the Reverend Martin Fisher, officiating.
Interment for her and for her sister, Teresa who died on February 24th, will follow.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements were under the direction of Flynn Brothers, Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Avenue, Schuylerville, NY
