Her parents James and Susannah had lived in West Finley, Washington County, PA on the 1850 census, with children Joseph 10, Ellis 7, Mary A 6 and Rebecca J 4. (children all born PA)

Her sister Rebecca J Elliott Connelly is memorial 64978620, Stone Church Cemetery.

Her parents James and Susan still residing in Triadelphia on the 1880 census, with married son Ellis 37 and wife Nannie 26, also her single aunt Mary Jones 62 born WV. This record indicates her father James' parents born Ireland and Penna; mother's parents born Maryland and Virginia.

Her brother Ellis Jones Elliott married Mary Nancy Grimes. His memorial is 93636635, Stone Church Cemetery.

They appear on the 1900 census, Buffalo, Brooke, WV, Robert 51, a farmer, Elizabeth 48, with children, Annie 24 born Penna, Earl 19, Ross 17 and Ellis E 10 (3 born WV).

Son Robert Ross died of typhoid fever in 1901.

Son James Earle was appointed administrator of estate of his father Robert J. McBroome, Dec 14, 1909, Brooke County.
Robert's parents are Robert McBroom and Rebecca Hagerty. His brother James H. McBroom is also buried this cemetery.

There are Civil War records for a Robert McBroom who served in Company L, 6th Regiment, West Virginia Infantry. Age 19, he enlisted Oct 1, 1861, Cameron, for 3 years. Mustered out Nov 1864. Unsure if this is same person.
